Ann Glang, PhD
Ann is a special education researcher who for more than 15 years has designed and studied interventions to support children and adolescents, educators, and families. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Oregon. Her research interests include childhood injury prevention, teacher training, and the development of effective strategies for helping teachers and families support children and adolescents with brain injuries. Ann has served as a principal investigator and coŠprincipal investigator for numerous NIH-funded projects involving video, interactive-computer, and web production. Ann also holds a research faculty position at the Teaching Research Division of Western Oregon University where she directs several Department of Education projects on childhood brain injury.

Karen McLaughlin, PhD
Karen is a speech/language pathologist who specializes in the field of acquired brain injury. Her research has focused on creating and evaluating interventions for individuals and families affected by brain injury, as well as injury prevention. Her current projects are aimed at reducing childhood injury through teaching pedestrian and bicycle safety and through training family advocacy after brain injury. She holds a concurrent position at the University of Oregon in the communication disorders and sciences program.

Lynne Swartz, MPH, CHES
Lynne has eight years of experience developing interactive multimedia programs for the Oregon Center for Applied Science. She has worked with a variety of multimedia formats (laser disc, VHS, touchscreen kiosk, CD-ROM, and Internet) on a broad range of health education topics: smoking cessation, adolescent sexuality, healthy relationships and pregnancy prevention, food safety, menopause education, school-based behavior management, and youth injury prevention. She is primarily interested in health-risk communication and message construction.
