HealthComm’s multimedia programs save supervisor time. Supervisors need not be present for employees to use these programs — they are fully self paced. Trainees are not advanced to the next lesson until they have mastered the learning objectives of the lesson they are working on. Trainees who do not pass a quiz are given remedial sessions until they fully master the materials. The program also tracks user progress and delivers printouts that allow supervisors to easily monitor which lessons employees have completed and which remain to be done.
Video narrators personalize the experience for users. The option of spoken narration for written materials makes the programs simple for people who do not read well. What’s more, our programs require very little computer experience. For instance, other than entering your name to log in, no typing is required. All that is needed is the ability to point and click the computer mouse.
