Looking for engaging materials where teens talk about contemporary issues? HealthComm offers video-based materials for use on the computer or VCR that help teachers and parents broach very private but important concerns: relationships, sexual coercion, pregnancy, and substance abuse.
Content for these programs was developed with input from teen advisors. Dramatizations include adolescents interacting in common scenarios, often with teen narrators presenting the issues as they arise.
All these products have undergone clinical trials in the classroom. The programs have proven themselves effective not only in raising student awareness about the problems, but also in building student confidence that they can use strategies to protect themselves and avoid getting into risky situations.
