In a clinical trial, people who used 1-2-3 Smokefree were three times more likely to quit tobacco use than were those who did not see the program. Viewers can observe people like themselves talking about what they have done to successfully overcome cravings and manage difficult situations (e.g., taking a break at work when all your friends there are smokers). Respectful, compassionate guides lead viewers through the process of exploring options and creating a plan. A personalized printout of the plan is delivered at the end of the session, with an invitation to return for added support as needed.
