The conversations we all dread: “Mom, I don’t think you should live on your own any more” or “Dad, it may be time to give up the car.” Sensitive Conversations offers video modeling of proven negotiating techniques.
From articles that help people prepare for the discussion to video dramatizations of how to handle insults, accusations, and “guilt trips,” Sensitive Conversations provides a road map to minimize discord while maximizing the viewers’ ability to handle their own emotions and successfully address difficult topics.
By teaching effective communication skills, this multimedia program guides people through the problem-solving process in a way that promotes cooperation and respect while preserving trust and caring. Includes a listing of national caregiving resources.
Built Around Solid Research
Developed by the Oregon Center for Applied Science, Inc., this program demonstrated significant effects during a clinical trial funded by the National Institutes of Health.
