Bike Smart is an Interactive Multimedia CD-ROM programs designed to teach Children in Grades K-3 the basic skills and knowledge they will need to be safe on their bicycles. Even children with no computer or reading skills are able to use Bike Smart, as was demonstrated in the extensive evaluation of the program.

The Program was produced by the Oregon Center for Applied Science with support from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.

The program is self-paced and uses animations, video demonstrations, and interactive exercises that instruct and test children on a variety of situations. A narrator guides the child in the use of the program. A fun and entertaining experience is created with music and a troop of upbeat children who host the program.
