How do you know when it’s more than “social drinking”? Simple surveys help viewers determine if there is a problem and if so, how severe. Video testimonials provide support and suggestions from people who have successfully quit or cut back alcohol use or who have helped a loved one quit or cut back. Options to explore include nonspiritual approaches (“rational recovery”), counseling, inpatient treatment, Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon (for friends and family of people who drink), quitting cold turkey, and leaving the person who drinks. Viewers have access to a module about drinking and pregnancy as well as articles about topics such as drinking and aging, how to help a teen who drinks, and where to find help locally. All answers are anonymous (meaning no one else can tell that you have visited the program or learn how you answered the questions). Ideal for work sites looking for materials to address substance abuse.
