Product FAQ
| What kind of equipment and software do I need to run your computer programs? |
CD-ROM programs
Our programs are designed to run on computers that use Windows 98, second edition or better; some programs can run on Windows 95. They can be viewed on a PC with a minimum 166 MHz processor and, depending on the program, 16–64 MG of RAM (a small number of programs also run on a Macintosh). You will need a 10x CD-ROM drive and speakers or headphones to hear the program. Programs with video generally require Windows Media Player. (Usually this is not a problem because Windows Media Player is included on almost all PCs when they ship from the factory.) If other third-party applications are required to run the program (for example, Quicktime or Macromedia Flash), that program and an installer will be included on the CD-ROM. Some of our CD-ROM products an Internet browser that has connected to the Internet once but does not need to be connected at the time you are using the program. For more specifics about hardware and software needs, check the system requirements listed on the webpage for each product.
